Travelling Caribbean Film Showcase

Regional event for a wider knowledge and mutual recognition of the Caribbean identities and cultures, diffused by visions that reach beyond stereotypes imposed by the hegemonic centers of AV production, often ignoring the cultural wealth and diversity of our peoples.

The 5th Traveling Caribbean Showcase is making a stop in Belize from Tuesday, April 16th to Tuesday, April 30th, 2013 in order to showcase 18 Caribbean Films from 8 different Caribbean Countries to Belizean audiences.

Next Tuesday, April 9th at 5:00 pm the Traveling Caribbean Film Showcase will present to the audience in Havana the Film Toussaint L'Ouverture. The presentation have been organized in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Haiti in Cuba, Hollywood Unites for Haiti Foundation, and the Cinematheque of Cuba.

GUADALAJARA. Mexico. In the framework of the XXVIII International Film Festival of Guadalajara, Omar de la Cruz, director of the Global Dominican Film Festival   (Festival de Cine Global Dominicano) has been nurturing relationships with directors, actors and producers from various countries, aiming to include their work in the VII Global Film Festival, to take place next November.

An encounter of African audiences with cinema from the Caribbean region.

Organized by the Office of the Traveling Caribbean Film Showcase and the Pan African Film and Television Festival (FESPACO), The III Encounter of Filmmakers from Africa, Brazil, the Caribbean and their Diaspora (Cinema ABCD) will be opening soon .

The registration for Cinesul 2013, the 20th Iberoamerican Festival of Film and Video, to be held in Rio de Janeiro from June 4th  to June 16th  will remain open until March 1st

Angola, country guest of honor at the International Book Fair Cuba 2013, will be presenting in a representative Showcase of its cinema.

With more than 140 films, representing 32 countries the next edition of the International Film Festival of Cartagena de Indias-FICCI, will take place from February 21th  to 27th, 2013.
